DIRECTIONS: • 1 lb boneless top sirloin steak (preferably right off of your ranch) • 1 T vegetable oil • 1 clove garlic, minced • A little salt • 1 can beef broth • 3/4 cup UNCLE FRED'S SOUTH TEXAS SALZA • 2 med zucchini, sliced • 1 large red bell pepper, cut into one inch strips • 2 tsp. cumin • 2 T cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup water Put on some of your favorite, "tear tugging" country music to set the kitchen mood just right. Then, brown beef in hot oil (vegetable, not crude), of course. Add in yer garlic, salt, broth, SALZA, zucchini, and bell pepper and cumin. Commence to simmering this culinary concoction on low until everything is tender but crisp... about 10 minutes. Next add cornstarch mixture to stew and cook 2 minutes until sauce is thick and bubbles. Surprise... your done cookin'! Serve generous helpings topped with sour cream and cilantro. Don't forget to have a bowl of Texas Salza on the side with some warmed tortilla chips. GREAT TIP: Use some of the crumbled or broken tortilla chips (always at the bottom of the bag) to sprinkle on top of your Texas stew, or salad! Makes a mighty fine meal. © 1997-2004, Salsa2U.com |
